The object of Video Poker is to obtain the highest possible poker hand from a list of hands provided for each game. If you get a hand on the list, you will be paid according to the payout schedule for that hand.
Not all poker hands pay out for each game. Each game has its own chart of payouts. To see a game's payout chart, select that game from the "Game" menu. For descriptions of the cards which make up each hand, look up help for "Poker Hands".
To be able to play all twenty-one games, you need to register. If you're an unregistered user, you are restricted to playing two of the twenty-one games, you cannot use the "cheat" command or customize the payouts, and you will periodically see dialog boxes reminding you about registration.

Betting
In all games except "Let It Ride", you must bet one coin at a time, up to a maximum bet of five coins. "Let It Ride" requires you to bet three coins at a time, up to a maximum bet of fifteen coins.
Before you can deal a hand, you need to place your bet. There are three ways to do so.
First, you can drop coins into the machine by left-clicking on the "Coin Slot" icon. Each click plays one coin, or three in "Let It Ride". To start the game, click the "Deal!" button. If you play a maximum bet, the hand will deal automatically.
Second, you can bet stored credits, one at a time (or 3 in "Let It Ride"), by clicking the "Bet 1!" button ("Bet 3!" in "Let It Ride"). To start the game, click the "Deal!" button. If you play a maximum bet, the hand will deal automatically.
Third, you can immediately play maximum credits (5 in most games; 15 in "Let It Ride") and have the hand dealt automatically, by clicking the "Bet Max!" button. You must have enough credits available in order to use this option.
If "Jennifer's Juicy Jackpots" is on, you can place your one-coin Juicy Jackpots side bet, as well as betting maximum coins, by using the "Play Max!" button.
You can combine the three methods as you like; for instance, you could play five credits by playing three credits in the machine and dropping in two coins.
If you run out of credits, you can visit the cashier to buy more. Choose "Visit Cashier" to purchase additional credits.

Card Display
Jennifer's Sexy Video Poker offers you two kinds of card displays. Choose your preference, "Fancy" or "Plain." Make your choice from the "Setup" submenu of the "File" menu. You cannot change card display types in the middle of a game.

Cash Out
To "cash out" means to exchange the credits stored in the machine for actual coins. To "cash out", choose "Cash Out" from the "Cashier" menu. (Unfortunately, the programmer has not yet worked out a way to provide the player with actual coins.)

The Cashier lets you buy credits, so you don't have to drop coins into the machine one at a time. Look up help for "Credits" for more information.

Cheating
Everybody wonders now and then if those casino Video Poker games are rigged. Well, it's been written in a book on the subject of Video Poker that some Atlantic City Video Poker machines in fact might be, shall we say, less than honest. However, Jennifer's Sexy Video Poker is entirely on the up-and-up... unless, of course, you rig the game yourself using the "Cheat" command on the "Options" menu!
To cheat, choose "Cheat..." from the "Options" menu. You can only use the "Cheat..." command while the "Game Over" indicator is flashing, and before you've played any credits. Also, the "Cheat..." command is only available to registered users.
Upon issuing this command, you will see the "Cheat" dialog box, which contains a listbox showing you the entire deck, exactly as shuffled. To rearrange the deck, simply click on the card you wish to move so that it highlights, then click on the "Up Arrow" or "Down Arrow" buttons until the card is where you want it. When you're done cheating, click the "Finished!" button.
Note that if you change games using the "Game" menu, the deck will be automatically reshuffled and you will lose your arrangement.
To help you in arranging the deck properly, you should be aware that Jennifer's Sexy Video Poker uses "serial dealing". This simply means that your initial hand is made up of the first five cards off the top of the deck, and replacement cards are dealt, as needed, from the subsequent cards off the top of the deck.
Also, you cannot cheat in "Double Up" because the deck is reshuffled before the "Double Up" round.

Credits
When Video Poker pays off, the coins don't just drop out of the machine; rather, they are stored as "credits". Thus, a "credit" is simply a coin stored in the machine's "bank". The payoff for each winning hand is added to your store of credits.
Although with a real casino video poker machine you would have to drop in coins to start, and build up a store of credits by winning hands, Jennifer's Sexy Video Poker lets you "buy" credits from the cashier by choosing "Visit Cashier".
To "cash out" and empty your store of credits, choose "Cash Out" from the "Cashier" menu.

Customize Payouts
The Customize Payouts command is available only to registered users. With this command, accessed from the "Options" menu, you can customize the payout chart for any game. Now, if Jennifer's Sexy Video Poker doesn't EXACTLY match that game you saw down at the Casino... make it so!
The text fields show the payout values for each hand, for one coin played. Simply enter the values you want into the fields, then click the OK! button. The values you entered will be used in the game. It's that simple!
Some games have several hands that all must use the same payout value. If you are editing such a game, you will only be able to edit the last hand that uses the same payout value. The other hands will be grayed out, and will automatically follow the value you enter into the programmable hand.
Your customized payout charts are automatically loaded and saved to disk; you don't need to do anything special.
To reset the payout charts to their default values, use the "Reset Payout Charts to Defaults" command on the "Options" menu.

Double Up
Double Up adds excitement to Video Poker by giving you a chance to double your winnings! Double Up works with all games.
Turn Double Up turn on and off through the "Double Up!" option on the "Goodies" menu. A check mark appears next to the "Double Up!" menu option when Double Up is turned on.
When Double Up is turned on and you get a winning hand, you will see a dialog box asking you if you want to "Double Up!". Choose the "Yes" or "No button to make your choice.
If you choose "Yes", the computer will deal a new five card hand. The first card, which is face-up, is the dealer's card. The remaining four cards, which are face-down, are your cards.
You must choose one of your four cards by clicking the corresponding button directly about the card you want.
If your selected card beats the dealer's card, you double your winnings! If the dealer's card beats yours, you lose your winnings. If there's a "push" (a tie), you keep your winnings, but they don't double.
If you win and double your winnings, you can play Double Up again and try to keep doubling! You can play until you choose to stop, until you lose, until you have doubled five times, or until you have won more than 5,000 credits.

Goodies Setup
The first time you run Jennifer's Sexy Video Poker after installing it, you will see a dialog box allowing you to choose which goodies you want to use: Progressive Jackpot, Reversible Royals, Double Up, and Jennifer's Juicy Jackpots.
After you make your choices, the program "remembers" them, and you don't normally see the "Goodies Setup" dialog box again. If you want to change your selected Goodies, you can use the "Goodies" menu.
However, if you would like to see the "Goodies Setup" dialog box again, simply run the program and click the mouse pointer in the green area of the "Welcome" box. You will hear a beep to confirm your action, and the "Goodies Setup" dialog box will display.

Jennifer's Juicy Jackpots is an all-new twist to video poker, and it's EXCLUSIVELY available in Jennifer's Sexy Video Poker!
Jennifer's Juicy Jackpots lets you make a side bet of one coin on any non-wildcard draw poker game, and win extra payouts on the deal!
To turn Jennifer's Juicy Jackpots on and off, click the option on the "Goodies!" menu. The option will be grayed out and you will not be able to select it if you are playing a wildcard game, or Double Down Stud, or Let It Ride. Jennifer's Juicy Jackpots only works with non-wildcard draw poker games.
** HOW TO SEE THE PAYOUT CHART **
Whenever Jennifer's Juicy Jackpots is turned on, there will be a second window, the Jennifer's Juicy Jackpots window, under the main game window. Activate this window by clicking on it, or choosing it from the "Window" menu. You can examine the payout chart at your leisure, and reprogram it using the "Customize!" button. You can also pick new cards for the special "jackpot hand" that lets you win 50,000 coins!! When you want to go back to playing, just click in the main game window to reactivate it.

To play Jennifer's Juicy Jackpots, just click the "Play Max!" button. In addition to the normal five coin bet, a sixth coin will be bet automatically. This coin is your Jennifer's Juicy Jackpots bet!
Payouts in Jennifer's Juicy Jackpots are all based on the 5-card hand you are dealt initially. If you win, the Jennifer's Juicy Jackpots window will appear, showing you your payout. Click the "Continue!" button at the top of the Juicy Jackpots window to return to the Game window and continue with your draw poker game by holding and drawing cards.

Payout Chart
The Payout Chart is located at the top center-left of the program window. It displays the winning hands and their respective payout values for each game. Payout values are shown for bets from one to five coins.
If a poker hand does not appear in the Payout Chart, that means that that hand is not worth anything in the particular game you are playing.
As you play each coin, the appropriate column of the Payout Chart highlights, so that you can easily see how much you can win!

Playing Double Down Stud
Double Down Stud is an exciting poker game that lets you double your bet on a hand you think will win!

After placing your bet, press the "Deal!" button to deal your poker hand. If you used the "Play Max!" button to play five coins, the hand will be dealt automatically.

Now, you must make a decision! If you think you will have a strong hand once the fifth card is turned face-up, you can choose to double your bet by choosing "Double Bet!" If you don't want to double your bet, choose "Stand Pat!".
Note that if you are playing with a progressive jackpot, you can't win the progressive jackpot unless you bet 5 coins, then double your bet.
After you have chosen to double your bet or stand pat, click the "Show Fifth Card!" button. The fifth card will be flipped, and you will see your complete hand.

Playing Draw Poker
All the games in Jennifer's Sexy Video Poker are Draw Poker games, except Double Down Stud and Let It Ride. For information on playing Double Down Stud or Let It Ride, look up help for "Playing Double Down Stud" or "Playing Let It Ride".
Although the winning hands and wild cards vary for each Draw Poker game, the basic play mechanic is the same for all. First, you place your bet. Second, you hold cards. Third, you draw cards. And finally, the machine (hopefully!) pays off.
To place your bet, use the "coin slot" icon, the "Play 1!" button, or the "Play Max!" button. You can bet from one to five coins. For more detailed information, look up help for "Betting".
After placing your bet, press the "Deal!" button to deal your poker hand. If you used the "Play Max!" button to play five coins, the hand will be dealt automatically.
Your hand consists of five face-up cards. If your hand appears in the payout chart, you will see its name displayed under the chart, and Jennifer will announce what kind of hand you have. To learn about hands, look up help for "Poker Hands".
Now, you must hold cards. "Holding" a card means you want to keep it and use it in your final hand. To hold a card, click the "Hold Card" button just below the card, or click on the card itself. To cancel a hold, click the button or card again.
When you hold a card, the "Hold Card" button text will turn red, and the word "Held!" will appear above the card. A card which is not being held will not say "Held!" above it, and its "Hold Card" button text will be black.
Note that if you are playing "Deuces Wild", any deuces in your hand will be held automatically. If you really want to, you can "un-hold" a deuce by clicking the card or button.
After you have held all the cards you want to keep, click the "Draw!" button. Any cards you have not held will be discarded and replaced with new cards. The new cards and held cards together make up your final poker hand.
If your final hand appears in the payout chart, its name and payout value will appear below the chart, Jennifer will anounce your hand, and your payout will be added to your credit total.

Playing Let It Ride
Let It Ride is an exciting poker game that lets you control two-thirds of your bet! In Let It Ride, you bet three coins at a time, up to a maximum of fifteen. But, if you think you have a poor hand, you can take back up to 10 coins from your bet!
To place your bet, use the "coin slot" icon, the "Play 3!" button, or the "Play Max!" button. You can bet from three to fifteen coins. For more detailed information, look up help for "Betting".
After placing your bet, press the "Deal!" button to deal your poker hand. If you used the "Play Max!" button to play fifteen coins, the hand will be dealt automatically.
Your hand consists of three face-up cards and two face-down cards. If your three visible cards make up a winning poker hand (one pair -- 10's or better, or three of a kind), Jennifer will announce it and you will see it displayed under the payout chart.
Now, you must make your first decision! If you think you will have a losing hand once the two remaining cards are turned face-up, you can choose to take back 1/3 of your bet by choosing "Take Back 1/3!" Or, choose "Let It Ride!" to do just that!
Note that if you are playing with a progressive jackpot, you can't win the progressive jackpot unless you bet 15 coins, then "Let It Ride!"
After you have chosen to take back 1/3 of your bet or "Let It Ride", click the "Show Fourth Card!" button. The fourth card will be flipped, and Round Two of the game begins!
Just as before, if you think you will have a losing hand once the remaining card is turned face-up, you can choose to take back 1/3 of your bet by choosing "Take Back 1/3!" Or, take a chance on big winnings and choose "Let It Ride!"

Poker Hands
In order of value from lowest to highest, standard Poker hands are as follows: (Note that not all hands pay off in all games, and that Aces can be high or low.)
High Card: No other hand fits. Value of hand is the highest card in it. This hand NEVER pays off in Video Poker. Example: 3(h) 6(s) 7(s) 10(d) Q(h).
One Pair: Two cards with the same value. Example: 4(h) 6(d) 6(c) 9(s) J(c).
Two Pairs: A set of pairs. Example: 4(h) 4(d) 6(d) 6(c) J(c).
Three of a Kind: Three cards with the same value. Example: 6(h) 6(d) 6(c) 9(s) J(c).
Straight: Five cards in sequence, regardless of suit. Example: 3(d) 4(c) 5(c) 6(c) 7(s).
Flush: Five cards of the same suit, regardless of value. Example: 3(d) 6(d) 8(d) J(d) A(d).
Full House: Three cards of the same value, and the remaining two cards of the same value. Example: 3(d) 3(s) 7(d) 7(h) 7(c).
Four of a Kind: Four cards with the same value. Example: 4(h) 4(d) 4(c) 4(s) 7(c).
Straight Flush: Five cards in sequence and all of the same suit. Example: 3(d) 4(d) 5(d) 6(d) 7(d).
Royal Flush: The highest possible poker hand. Ten-Jack-Queen-King-Ace, all of the same suit.
Some hands which pay out in Jennifer's Sexy Video Poker are not standard Poker hands. For instance, "Jacks or Better" only pays off for a pair when the cards making up the pair are Jacks or better (Jacks, Queens, Kings, or Aces).
In particular, all of the Four-of-a-Kind Bonus Poker games pay off differently for four-of-a-kind, depending on precisely which cards make up your hand.
Look at the payout chart for a description of each winning hand. If the hand is not a standard Poker hand, it will be described in enough detail in the chart that you will be able to tell which cards make up the hand.

Progressive Jackpot
Progressive Jackpot adds excitement to the game by increasing the maximum possible payout each time you play, until you win! The amount of the Progressive Jackpot is displayed in the upper-right corner of the Program Window.
To turn Progressive Jackpot on or off, click "Progressive Jackpot" on the "Goodies" menu. A check-mark appears next to the menu option when it is turned on.
With Progressive Jackpot off, each game's maximum payout is fixed (in most games, 4000 coins, but higher in some.)
With Progressive Jackpot on, the payout for a Natural (no wildcards) Royal Flush with maximum coins played starts at the maximum amount for a non-progressive game, and increases by a percentage of the bet for each hand played.
The Progressive Jackpot keeps increasing until you hit a Natural Royal Flush, at which point it returns to the original amount and starts building again.
The dollar amount of the Progressive Jackpot is shown in the upper-right of the game window, just under the scrolling message. The Payout Chart will show how many coins you win if you hit the Progressive Jackpot.
You can control the percent of each bet added to the Progressive Jackpot; look up held for "Progressive Jackpot Percent" for more information.
To reset the Progressive Jackpot amount to zero, click "Clear Progressive Jackpot" on the "Options" menu.

Progressive Jackpot Percent
With Progressive Jackpot turned on, the payout for a Natural (no wildcards) Royal Flush with maximum coins played starts at the maximum amount for a non-progressive game, and increases by a percentage of the bet for each hand played.
The "Progressive Jackpot Percent" command, accessed from the "Options" menu, lets you set what percent of the bet for each game gets added to the progressive jackpot. You can program a percent from 1% to 20%.
In most casinos, typically 1% of each bet is added to the progressive jackpot.

Registering

Reversible Royals
Reversible Royals can be added to any game by choosing "Reversible Royals" from the "Goodies" menu. A check-mark appears next to this option when it is on.
A Reversible Royal is a Royal Flush dealt in order: either Ten-Jack-Queen-King-Ace, or Ace-King-Queen-Jack-Ten, with all cards the same suit. If you get a Reversible Royal, you will receive a payout of 50,000 credits, plus the Progressive Jackpot!
Note that the Reversible Royals payout is not shown on the Payout Chart even when the option is turned on. However, you will see it mentioned in the scrolling message bar at the upper-right corner of the window.

Selecting a Game
To choose the Video Poker game you want to play, select it from the "Game" menu. A check-mark appears next to the currently selected game.
The name of the current game is shown directly above the payout chart.
Unregistered users can play only Jacks or Better, and Tens or Better.

Sound
You can turn off Jennifer's voice and the other sound effects by choosing "Turn Sound Off" from the "Setup" submenu of the "File" menu. To turn sound back on, choose "Turn Sound On" from the "Setup" menu.
In order to hear sound, you need a Windows-compatible sound card and driver installed. The sound files must be located in the same directory as the program file.

Statistics
Jennifer's Sexy Video Poker keeps track of how much you've bet on each game, how much each game has paid out, and how often each hand has come up for each game. To see this information, choose "Show Statistics" from the "Stats" menu.
You will see a dialog box displaying bets, payouts, and the payout percentage for each game. By using the radio buttons in the upper left, you can view statistics for this session of play only, or a running total of all your play sessions.
To clear the statistics for an individual game, click the "X" button to the left of the game name. To clear all the statistics, click the "X" button to the left of the totals.
If you want more information about a particular game, click the "View" (eyeglasses) button to the left of the game name. You will see a dialog box showing how often each winning hand has come up for each game.
You can clear the session statistics, or both session and running statistics, by using the corresponding commands on the "Stats" menu.
Statistics are automatically updated and saved to disk; you don't need to do anything special.

Wildcard Games
There are two basic types of wildcard games: Deuces Wild and Jokers Wild.
In a Deuces Wild game, Deuces (twos) can substitute for any other card's value and/or suit. For instance, if in Deuces Wild you were dealt "2 3 3 5 7", you would have three of a kind because the deuce will be treated as if it were a three.
In Jokers Wild, a Joker is added to the deck. The Joker can substitute for any other card's value and/or suit.
Jennifer's Sexy Video Poker offers various wildcard games for your gaming pleasure, including Deuces Jokers Wild Poker (which includes a Joker AND wild deuces) and Double Jokers Wild Poker (which includes TWO jokers.)

Winnings
Jennifer's Sexy Video Poker keeps track of your winnings (or losses) for each individual play session, as well as a running total of your winnings or losses for all play sessions. This information is shown at the bottom-right of the game window.
You can clear the winnings (session only, or both session and running totals) by using the corresponding commands on the "Options" menu.
